(Part 2) And then there are my former colleagues, many who were true friends, the neighbors on campus and in Arawa, and the dear ones in Akita City —- all whose energy, talents and experiences touched my life, enriching me beyond expectation. I long to walk there, beneath the ancient cherries, wiith gnarled branches shadowing another day

I would love to attend. The halls of MSUA, like the hills of Yuwa-machi, call me ‘home.’ The students who I had the pleasure to share days, weeks, months, even years nurturing, learning from, and sharing that ‘world’ with— invite sweet thoughts and feelings of wonder. And then there are my former colleagues, many who were true friends, the neighbors on campus and in Arawa, and the dear ones in Akita City —- all whose energy, talents and experiences touched my life, enriching me beyond expectation. I long to walk there, beneath the ancient cherries, wiith
gnarled branches shadowing another day…
